Then he explains to me that the door actuator is in another part of the door from the door handle. When I got to Honda I asked what the charge was for and the manager explained to me that the door handle was broken where the cable from the actuator attaches. I told the person in reception that I believed that the door actuator was gone and needed replacing. When I pulled up to service I crawled out the passenger door because the driver's door wouldn't unlock, the key fob won't unlock the door either and even if I put it in the keyhole sometimes it didn't work. They gave me some story that they had to diagnose the problem. We have to find them out for ourselves then get charged for them. OOPS wrong again I really hate these unadvertised recalls. For some reason I thought the companies mistakes were not mine. I just came back from Windsor Honda and they charged me labour to replace a Recall on a door actuator on 2006 to 2011 CRV models. or he probably just hanged up on me!!! Are these the kind of people Honda hires to work for them? Sorry for the others who performs their job well, kudos to you! Here's another thing, because this service advisor kept on arguing with me about what he said he told me which I totally refuse to believe, I asked to speak to his supervisor.after that the phone was cut off!!!. The service advisor did not even say anything to at least apologize if so ever there was a misunderstanding of the estimated time of service completion.

Because if they did, they could have called me & updated me Saturday. As I'm writing this complaint, today is Monday at around 1:30pm, just had a heated conversation with this service advisor who called to tell me that part of the problem will be fixed but half of it is not covered by the recall or by the extended warranty of the car (?) The big question that I have is, Why did they wait till today (today is the 3rd day in the shop) to figure that out? When they could have told me that Saturday and got my car back that same day!!! It is very clear that when I left my car on Saturday morning, nothing was done and they did not even check the car or did anything till this morning Monday. At around 4:45pm (they were closing at 5 pm) I had to call Honda to check the status of my car, only to be told that my car won't be ready until following Monday. Had to leave the car so they can fix the problem, gave me an estimate of the whole day. Had an appointment at 8:00 am Saturday for this recall to be done.

Received a recall letter about this particular problem, brought to Mossy Honda of Lemon Grove and was told that although they will replace the actuator on the driver's side, the rear power locks actuators are not part of this recall and said that I would have to pay for it to get it fix out of my own pocket!!!? This is sooooo frustrating and I feel very disappointed with this car!!! The service advisor working on my car was not professional enough to talk to me.
